Johannes Gutenberg 1455 etude

Typographic etude about JOHANNES GUTENBERG and print. Mechanism of the book reminds printing press. Pages are cut into strips with text and single letters in various size. Strips can be arranged in any way. Text on a black background on left and right side is a mirror reflection of a black text in the middle - just like in the old printing presses. Surprise to the reader is the last page with printed blured CMYK colors - as a reference to the possibility of printing today.

Mechanism of the book reminds printing press. Pages are cut into strips with text and single letters in various size as a reflection to moveable type. Strips can be arranged in any way - just like invention of Gutenberg. Text on a black background on left and right side reminds printing matrix - a mirror reflection of a black text in the middle. Surprise to the reader is the last page with printed blured CMYK colors - as a reference to the capability of print today.
